Now that I have your attention, let’s take a moment to check out the trailer for her new film, White Bird in a Blizzard. The loveable Shailene Woodley stars as a 17 year old girl whose mother (Eva Green) disappears, and whilst at first she is un-phased, she eventually accepts just how deeply affected she is by her mother’s vanishing, and discovering the truth leads her to face her own denial.
If you’re into gripping drama, this looks like the film for you. It has a great cast, including the likes of Thomas Jane and Gabourey Sibide, and Shailene Woodley has proven to us before that she’s a great talent and will most definitely deliver another exceptional performance, as her career is only moving further forward, which is greatly helped by her brilliant performances. The film itself looks fantastic; it’s got a dark tone to it, and looks supremely engaging, like one of those dramas you sink your teeth into and get immersed in.
This was filmed long before Divergent or The Fault in Our Stars, meaning it could be relying soley on Shailene Woodley’s presence to bring in audiences, but hopefully those audiences will experience something amazing.
White Bird in a Blizzard is out in the US in September.
