To Write Love On Her Arms appears to be pretty dark just on the surface of the mise-en-scene and the topic it tackles. But underneath, the film appears to be a rather interesting, deep and unique look at the life of a young woman with bipolar depression and substance abuse issues. She is refreshingly honest in a seemingly shameful world. The trailer doesn’t give too much away as to how the film will go which makes it all the more exciting to see when it comes out. Most importantly, the portrayal of a teenager with mental health appears to be different and realistic at the very least. This could be the start of something good within the industry that’ll spell an end to the perpetuation of negative stereotypes of people with mental health disorders.

A film has now been made based on the set up of this organisation and the trailer has been released.
