Trailer Park: The Crossing

The undisputed master of emphatic flips, pointless rolls and super slow-mo is back. John Woo’s first movie since 2009 has just got a fairly epic in scope as you might imagine.

The Crossing is based on the true story of the steamer ship Taiping, which sank between China and Taiwan during the Chinese Revolution of 1949, and claimed the lives of 1500 passengers and crew. But the trailer gives the film more scale than that, with huge ground battles and intertwining love plots weaving their way through the relatively short run time.

Many are calling it the most ambitious Chinese movie of all time, and with the plots of Titanic and almost every war film ever rolled into one you can see why.

The Crossing hits the UK sometime next year.
