Screw the zombies, where the hell did this trailer come from?

Predestination was a film that was slipping under the radar, but this trailer has launched the film into the foreground. I remember the first trailer coming out a few months ago and was amazed at how good it looked, which is surprising because it stars Ethan Hawke. And this new trailer seems to continue showing the great visual style Predestination is presenting. Based on a short story called All You Zombies (though, it's a massive problem that most films seems to be adapted by something,) the film already has great expectations to live up to. By translating a story ,completed in one day I might add, with a massive amount of fascinating components, Predestination has not only drawn us in, but set a high bar to reach.  It is a time travel story with a difference that guarantees you won’t find another film that comes close to Predestination in the plot department.

What might draw other people in is the talent attached to this film. The directors are The Spierig Brothers, Michael and Peter, who made cult vampire film Daybreakers, Ethan Hawke, who is enjoying a career resurrection after films like Sinister and The Purge, and Noah Taylor who you’ll recognise from either Tomb Raider, Submarine or Game of Thrones, depending on your preference. But the person that stands out most is Sarah Snook who is a newcomer. She is taking a big step in film roles by playing both female and male roles in this film.

This film looks great, beautiful shots, stunning sets and an overall look that makes it very unique. It has great visual moments (my favourite is Hawke travelling in time in his car), good music and a grand level of mystery and tension that only makes the story more intriguing. The film will now be released in the UK and hopefully, if it’s marketed, probably, it could become a surprise hit.
