Can you believe it’s been a whole 20 years since comedy duo Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels teamed up for the hilarious Dumb and Dumber? Yeah, us neither. But this only gives us more of a reason to keep a very close eye on every promo clip and trailer that is released on the lead up to the sequels release, Dumb and Dumber To.
Carrey and Daniels reprise their roles in the upcoming comedy sequel as two of the dumbest men on the planet, who couldn’t have any simpler approaches to life. 20 years after the completely loveable dimwits set out on their first adventure, they head out again in search of one of their long lost children in hope of gaining a new kidney.
I really enjoyed this new TV spot. It relentlessly shows that all the old jokes (which are still as incredibly funny as they were twp decades ago) will feature in the sequel. However, this one minute clip isn’t afraid to show the variety of new jokes previously unseen in the campaign so far. This perfect balance of nostalgia and new fresh material can only heighten all anticipation for the movie’s release.
This screwball comedy is directed by Peter and Boby Farrelly but also stars Rachel Melvin, Brady Bluhm, Kathleen Turner, Steve Tom, Rob Riggle and Laurie Holden. It arrives in cinemas on November 14th. But in the run-up, sit back, relax and enjoy this perfectly ridiculous clip.
