So it is for this reason that so many people were shocked to find that some of his best scenes had been cut from the film. This is proved by the recent release of an exclusive clip from the film, involving Foxx’s character Max Dillon (aka Electro,) that was deleted from the home entertainment release.
In the deleted scene we see Electro’s life with his sick mother, whom he cares for. On this particular day, it is his birthday, and his mother has forgotten. When she doesn’t take the hint when he hums happy birthday, he snaps at her, showing his true temper and represents his slow fall into infamy. He then gets hold of himself and leaves his mother to light his own birthday cake.
What’s so good about this clip? It’s the comical line that he shouts at his mother, which references his real life:
“My voice is amazing, I should be singing hooks for famous rappers.” He has indeed, in real life, sung hooks for rappers such as Kanye West and T.I, has had four solo albums and has also sung on many soundtracks.
