This endearing family film is based on the manga series of the same name by Akimi Yoshida. It’s a tale of three sisters who live in a house in Kamakura, Japan, which was left to them when their Grandmother passed away. When the three sisters receive news of their father’s death, a man who had walked out 15 years before, they attend his funeral. At the funeral they meet their 14 year old stepsister for the first time. When they learn that she has nobody to look after her now, the three sisters invite her to live with them.
