Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation - Teaser Trailer

It's been four years since we last saw the intrepid agents of IMF embark on their latest mission impossible, which for years has seen their tasks range from pretty difficult to fairly improbable, but the one truly impossible aspect of the films seems to be Tom Cruise's refusal to sit back and let the new guys take over. Ghost Protocol saw Jeremy Renner step up as the prospective lead in future Mission Impossible films, but you just can't keep the Cruiser down. And, in fairness to the guy, if there was any doubt as to his ability to keep up the pace, that doubt should now surely be laid to rest.

In the new teaser trailer for the upcoming actual trailer for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation (yes, I know, another one of these things), we get what amounts to a pretty concise set up for the film, complete with action, explosions, plot points and the occasional gag.

I swear, in my day, they actually just called these things trailers.

Nevertheless, it does look pretty badass, with Christopher McQuarrie looking to do a pretty solid job of calling the shots on this year's impending espionage blockbuster. And there is, of course, footage of the bit where Cruise actually hangs from the side of a moving plane. Honest to God, you'd think he had an actual death wish on these films.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation will be in cinemas later this year.
