The anticipation for David Fincher’s latest film Gone Girl continues to grow. With every trailer and TV spot, I get more and more excited for this film. It has a great cast, a refreshing take on a generic story and I love the fact the ending for the film will not be the same as the book (if you know me, you know I hate movies based on books with nothing changed). While this TV spot has no real new footage from the film, it shows the effectiveness of a simple piece of editing.
The time method of counting down the hours, and the days of Amy Dunne’s disappearance truly shows how people’s views can change towards people, from being very helpful to someone to turning them into a suspected monster. The timings are really efficient and give the audience a great look of how the story builds to a darker place. I am making sure I don’t read any spoilers from the book and unless you have already read the book, I recommended the same. Gone Girl has great potential to be awesome and how can it not; it’s got Barney Stinson in it.
