Today - The man who can smoke anywhere; giant worms, aliens or an ancient cult? And the secret cities you’re not allowed to know about!

Back in 1996, John Britton, a lobbyist at Jefferson City, Missouri was designated a permitted smoking area. Yes you read that right, John Britton is a permitted smoking area; smoking is permitted within 10 feet of him. He’s nearly 90 years old and still smokes three packs a day, which he is legally allowed to do, anywhere in the city of Missouri. The law was originally a joke, but it was filed and became part of the state law!

All over Europe archaeologists have been discovering strange tunnels, which seem to date back to the Middle Ages. These tunnels have no artefacts to suggest a cause for being there, and are very narrow, so much so that some people wouldn’t be able to fit through and some even go into loops. They are called Erdstall tunnels and the most popular theory is that they are to do with some non-Christian religious cults. Quite why these tunnels were built we will probably never know…

A Closed City… A city that is not open to the public. No one may enter, no one may leave. The city will not be found on any maps and its location and exact purpose are a secret known only to the Government. Sure, it sounds like the plot of a cheap thriller film, but Russia has 44 confirmed ‘Closed Cities’ for military and scientific research, with another dozen suspected closed cities. They are usually surrounded by military personnel or even prisons to hide the cities intent. You can’t help but wonder what might be going on in those cities now…
