It’s getting closer to the time - MCM Comic Con is almost upon us!
The countdown is running low, and beginning this Friday the 23rd, carrying on to Sunday the 25th May, London’s EXCEL Arena will once again play host to thousands of events and their fans. If my past experience at these events rings true this week, then the arena is sure to bee brimming with people enjoying themselves and, most probably, never wanting to leave.

The countdown is running low, and beginning this Friday the 23rd, carrying on to Sunday the 25th May, London’s EXCEL Arena will once again play host to thousands of events and their fans. If my past experience at these events rings true this week, then the arena is sure to bee brimming with people enjoying themselves and, most probably, never wanting to leave.
A big reason for this is the line-up of events and special guests that are always found at the MCM events; whether that be their London one, Birmingham, Midlands, Manchester, Ireland, Belfast or Scotland. In a few days, London will once again unite their customers with their most admired creative minds from games, film, manga and more.
If you’re heading to MCM over this weekend, amongst the rest of the line-up, you will be seeing the crew from new comedy-adventure film Ashens And The Quest For The Gamechild, including the very established actor Robert Llewellyn (Red Dwarf), which see the main character Ashens embark upon a quest to find a piece of the elusive ‘electronic tat’ known as the Gamechild. Accompanying them will be a fan-made film titled Predator: Dark Ages, telling of a group of Medieval Templar knights returning from the East only to discover that their enemy is closer and indeed deadlier than previously believed. Check these guys out at the Vidfest Stage on Sunday 25th from 1:00pm to 1:30pm.

The Hooligan Factory, a comical tribute to football and its ‘hooliganism’, is due to release in UK cinemas on the 13th June 2014 and to celebrate this, the cast and crew will be present at MCM Comic Con this weekend to deliver information on their new comedy flick. With an interview scheduled for 12:00pm on Sunday the 24th May, The Hooligan Factory will be ready to answer all fan questions and queries, so be sure to visit them! Also, if you come back from this weekend itching for more, then the film is pencilled in to have nationwide comedy gala screenings on 9th June, with live comedy streamed from London's Odeon West End into cinemas across the UK. With all this before the movie’s release on the 13th, you won’t be lacking The Hooligan Factory goodness anytime soon!
Lastly, another one to look out for is new sci-fi series Cops and Monsters. Starring familiar faces such as Caitlin Blackwood (Doctor Who), Holly Jack (River City), Rachel Teate (Wolfblood), Kai Owen (Torchwood), Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood) and Caitlin Gillespie (Waterloo Road, River City), Cops and Monsters, sheds light on what would happen if vampires, werewolves and zombies began to live amongst humans in our world. Vidfest will also display this talented bunch at their Saturday event from 4:00pm to 4:30pm.

These are only four productions which will be present at London’s MCM event this weekend. We'll be there, photographing Cosplayers and running a competition (more details later!), as well as giving away wristbands! So if you have tickets, you have a wealth of talent and new media to explore.
