At this stage of Arkham Knight's development it is starting to feel as though Rocksteady and DC are continually teasing us with new images and trailers while tantalizing our senses with every new detail. I mean, there we are, forced to bend to their will while they gently pleasure us with a soft feather before we feel the crack of the whip that snaps us back into realising that the game isn't out yet!... Sorry, that metaphor may have got a little weird there...

It is true that the latest trailer released does tease us with even more details of what is waiting for us upon our return to Gotham City. Chief among them is a glimpse at the game's "Dual Play" mechanic, which allows Batman to work along side his partners in justice, Robin and Nightwing, as well as apparently the leather clad Catwoman (I knew I was thinking about whips for a reason). Dual Play means that you as the player can seamlessly switch from one character to another, in order to perform more complex take downs and stealth moves. Why you'd ever NOT want to be Batman is beyond me but I am sure this will still prove to be useful against the army that has invaded Gotham.
Among other things of note in the trailer is the arrival of Azrael who some might remember from side missions in Arkham City as the mysterious watcher who gave cryptic hints over the Dark Knight's future. Low and behold these prophecies of doom would appear to come true in this title. Otherwise we see more of the lovely stuff we are already looking forward to in what is almost guaranteed to be one of the best games of the year: more takedowns, more Batmobile action and more ominous speeches from the epic story. Please, Rocksteady, just let us have it already!

We may have got a little over excited there for a moment but we're fine now. For the moment... Maybe after we've watched the trailer another five-hundred times.
