Obviously, this means nothing without the trailer itself. So click here to watch it!
What an awesome thrill ride that was eh? Let’s look into it in a bit more detail.
First of all we see a chained Wolverine being drowned. Could it be because he’s going back in time instead of Kitty Pryde? No. No it is not.
Following this we see a man clad in white in a room of the same colour. It looks like Young Magneto (Fassbender), in a possible shout out to Magneto’s incarceration in the first film.
Moving on to a “cast shot” of three mutants, the character in the foreground looks like it could be Warpath (played by Booboo Stewart), accompanying him appears to be Blink and another mutant, not as recognisable due to his positioning, but maybe Sunspot or Havok.
Magneto (?) and Mystique are on a train, it looks like they are having a fight. Perhaps a difference of opinion on how far they should be going?
The White House, and a secret bunker hidden in the Oval Office. This is coupled with a crowd of people running form something, and Mystique standing calmly (or possibly shocked) as they swarm round her.
Old Magneto (had a farm, EIEIO) and Bobby Drake (AKA Iceman) are working together, along with a glass shattering mutant. It’s unlikely that’s his only power, or even is his power. But it looks interesting.
Finally, we’re treated to a shot of both our main protagonists from First Class. Magneto and Professor X.
Well, there you have it. Who knows what it all means? Singer does, and he’ll hopefully be revealing more about it on Monday with his big surprise.
