Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) breaks up with his girlfriend and his two friends and roommates, Jason(Zac Effron) and Daniel(Miles Teller), make a pact to stay single with him. Over the course of the film, Jason and Daniel meet and form relationships with Ellie (Imogen Poots) and Alana (Addison Timlin), changing to course of all the guys' lives and relationship. All the while hi-jinks ensue.
The film looks like a fun ride through the eyes of three young men finding themselves amidst the chaos of life in their 20s. Scenes unfold at home, at the bar, and parties that tax the maturity level of all three men and cause laughter amongst the audience.
The film is filled with a young cast, up and coming stars, with the lead Zac Effron taking on a new role that further pushes past the image created through High School Musical. The young cast is given an opportunity to shine in an outstanding comedy and showcase their talent. Each of them provides a worthwhile character and adds to the film.
It not often that a first time writer/director hits the ball out of the park. Based on the trailer Tom Gormican has done just that. Each scene shown is perfectly timed for comedic effect.
