Well, one because we all regularly geek out on the caped crusador, donning the cap and scaring our neighbours. But the big reason is to celebrate the upcoming release of One Bad Day, a short film by our fellow geek extraordinare Josh Crooks.
Set after the events of the comic and storyline A Death In The Family, Batman has to question all that he has stood for. Confronting The Joker for the crimes he against The Gordon's and Jason Todd, Batman decides to punish him once and for all. The question is, exactly how far is Batman willing to go for justice and will The Joker finally break Batman.
This teaser trailer of the short film is exciting enough. Released Friday, One Bad Day is set to be an astonishing glimpse into the psyche of Batman. Here are twenty seconds of pure delight, the Joker (who is played fantastically by the way), is at his taunting best, echoing legendary Ledger and Nicholson's previous efforts. Drenched in black and white, Crooks and his team are going to be brand new names in iconic movies. Move over Burton and Nolan, a new master is in town.
