Blended also sees the Sandler reunited with Drew Barrymore. It is about two people who have a seriously terrible date. However, a once in a life time opportunity falls into their laps and they are forced to go on to Africa together with their kids who can’t stand each other either.
The whole idea of trailers, especially for comedies, is to showcase some of the funniest material in the movie. For Blended, if this is the case, then it is humourless pile of trash that needs to be snuffed out before it can evolve into something more. The Wedding Singer this aint and from this barrel of sighs, you can expect some strained moments, convoluted plot points, hints of racism and sexism and a no doubt happy ending we never wanted.
It is time for a change much like Burton leaping off without Depp or Carter, Sandler needs to revisit his roots. Stop churning out practically the same film with the most stupid of plots. Stop thinking that in order to make movies you need as much toilet humour and crassness as possible. Get back to your actual comedy that made you so famous. And please, will someone stop Blended.
