The new trailer sees Hill and Tatum putting on some fake accents and then destroying half of Metro City Port, which prompts their boss to suggest they go back undercover as students at college, to take down a secret drug ring. Unfortunately, the original abandoned church on 21 Jump Street was bought back by its original owners, so the duo are forced to reside in the abandoned Vietnamese church across the street, on 22 Jump Street.
As expected, the trailer brings forth with it a whole heap of antics and chaos that the two manage to become involved in, including Hill getting into an unfortunate incident with a grenade that he has placed down his pants. The two get up to the usual crazy college antics, and some not so usual – like getting attacked by a squid, shot at, punched and endangering their lives in a sequence of crazy car chases. Ice Cube also returns for the sequel, reprising his role as Captain Dickson, along with Dave Franco and Nick Offerman, who portray Eric Molsen and Deputy Chief Hardy, respectively. Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, 22 Jump Street is set for release in the UK on the 6th June and in the USA on the 13th June, later this year.
