Oh. My mistake.
Nope, this would be the first casting announcement for the Warner production, and it’s everyone’s favourite weird looking sleuth, Benedict Cumberbatch. In the last few years, Benedict has found himself very busy in Hollywood, and by the looks of it, he’s gonna be busy for a long time (Damn). In Warner’s adaptation, Cumberbatch will be lending his voice to the villain in Rudyard Kipling’s story, Shere Kahn (anyone posts a Star Trek pun and I will dropkick your mother).
Like Disney’s film, The Jungle Book: Origins will be live action as opposed to animation, and will be directed by Andy Serkis, who is foolishly missing the opportunity to motion capture Baloo (Then again, maybe it gets annoying having those dots on your face all the time).
There’s no doubt Benedict has got the voice for it, but will the film pull together a cast to rival its most likely more successful competition?
The Jungle Book: Origins is out October 2016
While we cannot provide you with anything at all for this, enjoy the delectable tones of George Sanders, to original Khan.
