After viewing the first trailer, it seemed like the movie would follow a family of dinosaurs like many wildlife documentaries do, but after viewing more clips it appears they are planning on having the dinosaurs voiced by humans. I know this is a movie about CGI dinosaurs, but I think dinosaurs with human voices would break what realism they have. I thought the overall point was to make a dinosaur documentary that would be no different than a real documentary, something like March of the Penguins.
But on the other hand. I'm a fan of Land Before Time and Disney's Dinosaur, so this could possibly work.
One thing I am definitely not worried about is the amount of new knowledge that will wash over me when I watch it. Because of ever-growing technology there is new information about dinosaurs pouring out faster than we can process it. For example, since 2012 there has been a discovery of a new dinosaur species every week, this promises to be a movie that will show us more of their world than we've ever seen before.
I'm hoping the educational stuff will be filtered into the movie in the most engaging way, the storyline.
Where you don't even notice your being educated.
Fun Fact:
The movie includes a newly discovered flying dinosaur (which isn't actually a dinosaur because it can fly) that has a beak that's 8 feet long which can swallow a human whole.
Walking With Dinosaurs 3D is out 20th December
