Film knowledge was unearthed, truths were found and a DVD exchange took place. These are the true life stories from that experiment... For Graham from Leah Two brothers is one of the very few films that can actually get me to shed a tear. by Robbie Jones The plot of a film is one of the key things in deciding whether you watch it or not. If it sounds daft and ridiculous, then you’ll leave it alone. But if it sounds interesting, or hilarious, or romantic, or dramatic etc. Then you’re sold. Some films have fantastic concepts and certainly deliver on them – Films like Inception, Jurassic Park and Looper all sound great on paper and when put to film, it’s even better. But sometimes, a plot can sound just too good. And when you finally get to watching it, you realise it’s nowhere near as good as it should’ve been by Leah Stone As some of you will know, I have been covering all of the news on The Monuments Men and I must say I am extremely excited for the film. Recently three new featurettes were released by 20th Century Fox, one about George Clooney’s team and his idea for the film, and one that brings together the plot with input from the actors. by Matthew Howe Experiment 626 (which may, or may not be Stitch's real name) is an event embarked on by the I'm With Geek Film Team. Film knowledge was unearthed, truths were found and a DVD exchange took place. These are the true life stories from that experiment... For Matt from Graham Primer is one of those films that you have to keep watching. Shot on a shoe-string budget, the film revolves around a pair of inventors who create a method that allows them to travel through time, and the consequences of the deeds. So far so traditional, however the film quickly veers away from this, and this is why I love the film. The entire premise is the two main characters attempting to re-write their timelines to favour themselves, be it playing the stock market, or preventing someone’s murder. by Anne Hunt As part of the female half of the human species, any movie that “stars Zac Efron” should make my ovaries scream with joy. As a fan of American Pie, anything that markets itself with humour akin to said incredibly successful 90s movie should have me pushing my way to the front of the cinema queue, stereotypical British manners be damned. So, given that That Awkward Moment boasts both Zac Efron AND gross out sex humour – this should be a very positive review. Weelllllllllllll, sort of. And that’s as far as That Awkward Moment gets. |
