It has finally happened. I, and other Potter fans, have only been waiting for this day for seven years, eight months and 12 days to be precise. That’s a grand total of 2812 days. Earlier, J. K. Rowling finally made the announcement that Potterheads have been waiting for - there is finally going to be a sequel to her hit Harry Potter series.
While the book will focus primarily on the Marauders’ times at Hogwarts, we will learn about their time after Hogwarts. There will also be details on how Peter became one of Voldemort’s top servants, and why he betrayed his friends. We’ll also find out about Sirius’ arrest and exclusive details on his time in Azkaban. The relationship between Tonks and Lupin will also be discussed.
We don’t have much information on the actual book itself. Jo said the book will be released within the next few months and the regular version will be just over 900 pages. There will be several versions of the book released. One will be a fully illustrated version, with another being fully illustrated and complete with a complete family tree for each Marauder. The book has been in the works for the past several years, but was only announced today. Today also happens to be April 1st. Mischief Managed.
