Click for Image Source Desperation Lingers is a guidance counsellor at a Miami second chance school, who is getting fed up with the daily grind of her life, let alone her job that she doesn't even want. She has big and unfulfilled dreams of becoming a teacher, and longs for the chance to break the mould and prove herself to school principal Hector Rivera, with the hopes that he will give her the chance to lead a class full of students. The very same students who call her hideous names on a daily basis, no doubt.
Fuelled by self-belief and passion, Desperation finds herself amongst a group of students who all have the same problem in life. Like her, they are all misfits in one way or another. Can these three teenagers help her realise her dreams, and can she help them in return?
